Train + Bus (Recommended)

    • Joetsu/Yamagata Shinkansen to Niigata, then Limited Express Inaho (~5-6 hours)
    • OR Yamagata Shinkansen to Yamagata, then bus/local train to Tsuruoka (~4.5-5 hours)
  2. Tsuruoka Station to Gassan

    • Take Shonai Kotsu bus bound for Gassan (60 minutes)
